Are Glock factory fixed sights removable?

I know the term is "fixed" but to me that just means that they must just not be adjustable. So can they be removed and replaced with some other sights?

Yup and quite easily. You knock off the rear with a nylon punch (or similar) and use a 3/16 shaved down nut driver (or similar) for the front sight. I replace all my Glock sights with Sevigny competitions from rockyourglock.

Some of the factory front sights (at least used to be) pinned on with a plastic rivet. Generally removed by grabbing the sight post with pliers from the top side and breaking it off making it non reusable. The rear is a wedge fit in a dovetail and can easily be drifted out, but reinstalling a new quality replacement I would suggest finding someone with a proper sight pusher. As mentioned above the new front will be secured with a thin hex-head 3/16 machine screw requiring a thin wall nut driver and a dot of blue thread lock.

Thanks for the answers guys! Here's another one: Are Glock night sights of the fixed variety or are they adjustable? I am wondering if I should get night sights or the regular fixed sights? Some of the night sights look cool.

Depends on what you want to do with your Glock. Night sights are obviously good for low to no light situations, standard sights are for regular range use, a combination of blacked out rear and fiber optic front sights are good for competition and fast target acquisition. Trijicon and Meprolite both make very good tritium sights for the Glock.
My personal fave is the Heinie night sights but they are harder to come by here.
Not sure if Glock makes an adjustable night sight. They have an optional fixed night sight.

Depends on what you like but I prefer a plain rear with a FO front.

Glocks night sights are fixed. They have adjustable plastics but they're just as bad as the fixed plastics IMO. I just don't care for the cup and ball.

The sights fitted to Glocks at the factory are more like slot-fillers. They are analogous to the fake credit cards that come with wallets or the picture that comes with a frame.

not sure where you're located but if you're a member of The Grange (aka. Target Sports Canada) i can bring my glock sight pusher and help you remove the factory sights and install your new sights.

fixed sights are windage adjustable but pushing the rear sight left and right but the elevation cannot be adjusted. i have trijicon hd night sights on my g17 gen4 and i highly recommend them.
