Remember 2 years ago when people were panic buying TP rolls??
They didn't know why they were but they saw everyone hoarding like crazy so they just had to do it too.
I feel like this is what's going on with the glock market right now. Folks who never cared about having one are seeing them sell out in minutes don't want to be left out and join in on the craze.
I know the whole handgun market is crazy but this glockness is something else.

Came pretty close myself to hit "complete purchase" before I took a step back and realized I only wanted it because other people did.

I am sitting on the side lines of any firearm purchase right now - good chance i will be swinging a 36 inch strike sign in October

Personally a Glock was always a handgun I though about adding to my collection but I wasn't in a rush. Turd-o drops the ban and I was in a gun shop. I asked to see 1 hand gun I had on my list and as soon as I picked it up I was disappointed. I handed it back and asked to see a Glock. I went with the Glock.

If you will never get to buy another handgun again.... it's hard to not be tempted by the most reliable and police force endorsed pistols ever.

You could always buy more toilet paper before, even if it became scarce. You won't be able to buy any more glocks in a few weeks. Personally I went from 0 to 2 glocks after Turdo announced the ban.

This is spot on. We all know that toilet paper would come back in due time. Was it overpriced for a while? Yes. Did I buy some overpriced? Yes. That is just the way the ball bounces sometime with supply and demand.

I think the exorbitant prices are really where the comparisons stop. And the argument is true that well, if one wanted one, would should have bought them a long time ago. But just as with anything else in life we tend to take things for granted, just like that 1980s Cinderella arena rock ballad "Don't Know What You Have Till Its Gone"

I will say this - at least the people who are buying them at exorbitant prices are able to do so. I got my PAL almost 20 years ago and didn't think about getting a restricted endorsement upgrade until recently and while I just passed my CRSC last week, it will be weeks before the FSESO stamps both my class attendance papers and scores, and sends it back to me and who knows how long my subsequent application will be. It is a very real possibility that by the time my PAL card has a RPAL endorsement, the Liberals will push through the freeze and I won't be able to buy any handguns until a change in government.

That said, I was at my gun club this past week and mentioned to the guys there in the clubhouse after about maybe getting a Glock later on whenever my PAL+ restricted card shows up and universally, the guys suggested to me that I may want to look at something else, as Glocks are a bit overrated and for a prospective new handgun owner (hopefully) there are better options.

Is some of this trend that we are seeing of overpriced handguns fear of missing out? For sure it is, but I think it's also people realizing that this may be the last chance for them to get something that they will never get again.

I've always wanted a set of Glocks, one each in 9mm, 40S&W, and .45 ACP. I bought a G21 Gen4 in .45 years ago on consignment from Prophet River, it was as near to new as a pistol could get. Only a few hundred through it, but it still looks unfired. And shoots great.

When Trudy and Marcy came up with their bright idea, I found myself with a chance to pick up a G17 at still-sane prices so I pulled the trigger on a new one. Still waiting for it to arrive.

Not sure I care enough to find a G22 to complete the collection, but having the pair in a two-pistol case will be pretty nice. I've got a few hundred rounds each of .45 and 9mm so this fall I'll go make a huge mess out of some paper at the range.

Glocks are just really good pistols, and great pistols once you get a feel for riding the trigger reset and replace the rear sight with something blacked out.

Don’t need one got a sweet Eastman hammer.
But I do have a S&W SD9VE . successfully sued as a Glock knock off.
free was a gun store prize.
Never shot it been 3 years. Occupies safe Real estate.

Have been happily shooting Glocks since circa early 1990's.

Since Turd made his announcement regarding this latest round of Liberal feelgood BS, I've sold 2 Glocks & acquired 1. Just adjusting to what I figured I'd like to 'keep' going forward, if the Turd/Lib's wet dream comes to fruition.

Love 'em or not, Glocks work. One is not at a disadvantage by having one in the collection.

YMMV

NAA.

Couldn’t find a second glock17 so I settled for an Apex trigger enhancement kit - haven’t had a chance to fire it yet but is seems to make a big difference on the dry fire.

Lol , this thread title……hhhaaaaa .
Sorry , I’ve not much else to add , just love the title …..that , and do NOT try and use your Glock AS toilet paper !
