Are LTATT's gun specific?

No, LTATT is not firearms specific. You can take your wife's restricted/prohibited as long as you have the correct classification and the firearm certificate with you.

My border ATT is a LTATT and is firearm specific.

My club ATT is a LTATT and covers all the firearms registered to my residence

Most of the times LTATT for gun club is good for all restricted (prohibited) registered at your address.

Sometimes, depend on conditions, it is specific to particular firearms. For example if you plan to go to US with some of your guns and your ATF Form6 listed only few (or just one) of your restricted CFO may issue to you LTATT for US border only for these ones listed in form 6.

I'm just going to piggy back a question here. If I have a LTATT and I wanted to borrow a friends restricted is that covered? For the sake of argument lets just say we made out trade while we were at the range.

In Western Provinces - LTATT allowes you to transport all and any of your restricted guns to any border crossing. Guns are not listed on LTATT, your name is listed on Reg. Cert. thou. And you cannot 'borrow' other people's restricted unlike non-restricted.
