Are Mosin clips the same as the SVT40's?

As the Mosin was the older of the rifles, and designed for the same round, Tokarev designed his rifle with their stripper clips in mind. He deliberately designed the SVT-40 to take Mosin clips to make it easier to load, and actually intended on the rifle to be loaded with 2 Mosin clips, rather than by replacing the magazine with a full one, the magazine was mainly meant to be removed only during cleaning. In practice, though, not sure if this suggestion was followed, but he designed it to take Mosin clips.

Another thing that's interesting is while the Mosin sniper can't take stripper clips, Tokarev designed the sniper variant of the SVT wit the scope far enough back on it that the slot for the clips was still usable, meaning the sniper variant of the SVT could still be loaded with clips.
