Are my .308 cases to short at .2000?

I think pulling out a .005" feeler gauge blade out of the pack and having a good long
hard look at the thickness should clear up any doubt.

THIS!! .005" is a pretty minor amount in the grand scheme of things. Dave.

I've taken Ganderites advice before and will continue to do so . I googled this before posting here and answers varied , that's why I rather ask questions here. So many experienced reloaders. Not so with Google. Anyway I have 25 rnds loaded and ready for a test on Sunday.

Found brand new brass under length, .005 is nothing. Like said set your caliper at.005 and have a look.

I play in the bulk game with 223 and when I deal with my suppliers in the states their recommendation was 223 trimming aim to trim 1.745" +/- (.005" under "trim to length)

It is common for bulk processed brass to be trimmed this way to ensure that even when you look at the statistical side of it you would have less than .1% above 1.750" and below 1.740"
