Are My M1A Parts USGI & Funky trigger attachment

Hi Guys,

My M1A was made in 1984, and I'm wondering if some of the main parts are USGI. Here's the details.

Bolt:

7790186
HRT A09
NL

Op Rod:


7267064 HRA

Trigger Group:

7267080-HR-N

The hammer has TRW followed by a serial number that I can't quite read.
The saftey lever has a serial number that I can't quite read followed by 5015-4.W.R.A. I think the 5015 is end digits of the serial number.

There is also an attachment on the trigger. Anybody know any details about these? Here are the pics:

yup! those ones are.

any markings on the barrel? you should be able to see it if you lock the op-rod back and look between the handguard and stock.
 
It's hard to see the markings on the barrel. Under the handgaurd, I could see 308, and near the flash hider there was a NM. It is a USGI profile barrel, not a medium contour profile. I'll take another look and post more info if I find it.
 
Any part stamped with TRW is usgi as they never made commerical M1A's only proper M14's. You can look up the other drawing numbers on the rest of the rifle to see if they are usgi. I would say its aafe to assume that the HRA parts are usgi as they never made commercial m1a either.
 
Those parts have been put there by a former owner. SAS Inc. wasn't using surplus parts in 1984. Not a big deal one way or the other. Milsurp trigger parts don't make much difference. Don't affect the value of your rifle either.
Trigger shoes are slick things trigger pull feel less by spreading the pull out. They are specific to the firearm. Made by Williams, as I recall. Had one on My '03A4 and BHP for a while.
 
The new M14 EBR trigger shoe now has a hard Salt bath Nitride finish.
