Hi, Firearms Outlet has Longbranch .22lr receivers for sale and I was wondering how much of a challenge it would be to build a rifle. Are parts still around? I would basically need every single part.

I recently finished assembling a .22 rifle on a 1944 .22" Long Branch receiver. Posted a thread on the project.
The magazine, bolt head with extractor and firing pin, and rear sight assembly are original LB .22 parts.
Everything else was No. 4, including the barrel which is a lined .303.
There is no ready source of No. 7 parts. There are individuals who might have bits and pieces; some helped me with this project.
The receiver is the easy part. Apparently several hundred were sold off years ago, and these turn up regularly.
Also did a replica of a No. 2 Mk. IV .22 rifle. Only .22 part is a LB No. 7 extractor. Everything else is adapted from .303.

Anyway, it is possible to assemble a .22 rifle on one of these receivers. It is not easy.

My thread is ".22 Lee Enfield Barrel" in the Milsurp section.

I have a number of mostly complete parts set for the C no 7. The hard or impossible parts to find are the tiny little spring used with the windage knob and a barrels, but as Tiriag said above, 303 barrels could be relined.

Keep in mind that apart from the very specific .22 parts, everything in a No. 7 rifle is typical '44, '45, '46 standard production No. 4. Walnut furniture, fabricated trigger guard, etc.
Nice LB No. 4 parts sets aren't particularly easy to source, whether for a .303, 7.62 or .22 project.
So, the .22 parts are: barrel; front sight base w/pin; bolt head, firing pin and extractor; striker rod; complete rear sight assembly.
I used a Savage low wall forend for my project. Didn't have a nice LB walnut high wall on hand. Should one appear, I'll swap forends.
Another option is to make a clone of the British No. 9 rifle. Use a .303 receiver, Brit parts are appropriate throughout.
As illustrated in my thread, lining a .303 barrel isn't rocket science.
