are Norinco bushing threads different

Trying to replace the grip bushings on my Norc Gov. to put on slim bushings and grips, but the new slim grip bushings would not thread into the frame.

Is it possible they are finer or different (metric etc.) than the 'regular' 1911's?

I find that odd.

good question, or even the regular sized ones with the metric thread.. as I have a half buggered up one from the process.

I re-threaded mine.

You can re-thread (tools available from Brownells) or I believe Marstar may have some metric bushings. Check with them first, as it is much cheaper. - dan

Will do on the Marstar tip (I got the pistol from them).

I've got the TAP and parts sorted out at Brownells.

Might be better to go this way anyway.. and put on standard threads/bushings.

More grip options available then, including thin ones.
