Are rabbits in the Ottawa area edilble?

The most numerous rabbit around Ottawa is the Eastern Cottontail.

Unless things are very different within 100km....Varying Hares are by far the most numerous.

I don't think I have seen, let-alone shoot a Cottontail while out in the bush.
Cottontails around here, are usually in the back-yards and neighborhoods.

Yea, could be - I've only seen them in the burbs and within 20-30km of the city.

I have hunted wmu 65 and yes there is cotton tails, They taste as fine as any other game if not better, Just a quick question, How are the hun numbers up that way this year?

I live very close to Inverness Park on Meadowlands
and almost ran over 2 rabbits on the fricken road.
This parK is the same place a moose was spotted years ago.
Anyone who knows this area in Nepean would know that
there is mostly houses around here
