Are single stack 1911 9mm magazines universal/compatible ?

Hi guys, I have a Norinco NP29 9mm which only came with 2 factory stock mags, I'd like to have couple more mags for the range but it seems NP29 9mm mags are not easy to find, most stores are out of stock. I saw some single stack 9mm mags for Kimber 1911, I guess they'll fit the Norinco right?

The NP29 is a 1911 clone & therefore other 1911 mags , including Kimber , will fit.

Don't mix up your 1911 45ACP mags and your 9mm mags or you could experience this.

I do own another .45 pistol, a Taurus PT1911, it is quite a piece of ###X.

It wasn't the mags that guy mixed up. It was the guns themselves.

9mm 1911 mags are completely interchangeable.

They all jam equally.

Never experienced this, Colt, RIA and Chip McCormick magazines in STI, RIA and now Norinco 9mm 1911's.
Just my own personal experience, YMMV

I have 3 Norc 1911s in 9mm and several brands of 9mm mags. They all work just fine, except initially the mag release notch in the Norc mags would bind on the nose of the bullets. It was difficult to get in more than 5 rounds. Once I figured out the problem, a bit of polishing solved it.
