WIN94 - just curious, but is that an after market synthetic stock or did you paint the wood?

My God man.......as an optician I have to recommend to not look at that rifle. Please your eyes are not safe doing that. At least get a good pair of sunglasses first.:p

Uh, I'd be mounting that scope a wee bit further forward, just to take advantage of the Leupold's eye relief (and having been cut by the scope on my first stoutly loaded 1895 Marlin many moons ago...)

...............................The way its set up, i have three inches from my melon to the eye objective.

.................I had one of my past Guideguns flip my hat of my lid with a 2.5x Bushnell Banner once.:D

PS - as funds allow, would you please install an MPI stock, ditch the Weaver #### that is occupying the holes meant for a ghost ring, and put a tru glo front sight in. The way you got it now, you might as well of bought a BLR 450 marlin, and shoot lever rev in it

......it has a tru glo rear sight. The tru glo front sight was too tall and the rear did not allow for enought adjustment.

........Their is no way a BLR is as tough mechanicaly as the 1895. That 2.5x compact seems quicker taget aquisition wise than the Ashley peep i used to have. I may get some Leupold QRW rings though. I wanted a scope because i will be hunting blackies at dusk.
