Thanks

In that price range you're not gonna get great optics. I haven't used those particular scopes but I have tried Bushnell scopes in the same price point and they leave something to be desired. Best cheap 3-9x40 scope I have used is by redfield.

I have one, optics are bright and clear, no problems and I think it's great for the money.

Mind you I'm not looking to pick fault with it or benchmark against perfection :) you can spend $2000 for the same sort of optic but you spend a helluva lot for the last 15% of optics performance....

The Bushnell Elite 3200 3x9x40 w/ rainguard is a pretty nice scope for not too much more. I would do that before trying the AR line. Maybe try and pick up a used one (probably could be found for 220$ or so?)

Their Elite Tactical 1-6.5x24 is incredibly bright...but I can't bring myself to drop almost a grand on a Bushnell.

Your link is FUBAR, where did you get these prices from? The Bushnell site gives a list price of $349.95 US for the 4.5-18x from their shopping site.

That little Redfield battlezone 3-9 is not a bad little scope, and comes with the calibrated turret for .223 and another one for a .308.

Optics are not too bad, and it's a little more compact than a standard scope.

It does the job. Optics and skill go hand in hand. A shooting buddy put through more than 90 rounds of 308 with a bushnell scope and it keeps going.

You made me curious, so I went and looked at the Bushnell site. And wow, did I ever just get a deal. I paid about $100 less for the Bushnell optic I chose from a sponsor than as quoted on the Bushnell site.

Uhmm, the Bushnell AR line is made in Korea....
The PCL is, the others look like China to me...

SEK-BERLIN,

You have to realize that the question you are asking is like saying "Is Kraft Dinner a good supper?". What does "good" mean to you? The answer to the question is going to vary a great deal if your priority is based on price or quality. Are you looking to compare a $200 scope to a $500 scope? A $200 vs a $5000 scope? What is "good" to you? Hitting a square foot from 100, or hitting a 1/2" from 100?

We'll for all the people on the fence about the AR line of scopes from Bushnell I just picked up the AR-22 rimfire scope and I will say this bushnell has hit a home run with it super clear glass BDC reticle out to 125 yards one piece tube and side adjust parallax adjustment down to 10 yards and lifetime warranty for not only the original purchaser but even if bought used the new owner gets the same warranty and for 140.00 bucks (non site sponser) lol how can you lose. I haven't shot it yet gonna pick up some rings on my way home from work. I can't wait to shoot this I had two of the redfield battlezone tac .22 scopes just sold one and from what Iam seeing from this bushnell I think I will be selling the second one lol

Cool. Looking forward to your range review. I'm thinking of upgrading the old scope on my 22LR to something with a side focus. These new Bushnell and Nikon AR line look very promising. The optics on my Bushnell AR 1-4x24PCL Throwdown was surprisingly bright and sharp. Then again, it's only 1-4x.
