Are the norinco m4 flash hiders threaded?

As the title states are they pinned on there or are they threaded? I was thinking of getting my father to custom build a flash hider for it and was wondering if they are threaded and if by chance anyone knew the pitch. Thanks.
 
Thank you. Just to confirm that is 28 threads per half inch? That is very fine threading.

Just a suggestion. If you don't know what 1/2x28 means then you may want to reconsider trying to make your own flash suppressor as it is likely to go BADLY wrong at some point.

An A2 flash suppressor can be purchased for under $50 which would be a lot less than you will pay to replace the barrel you buggered up and have the shrapnel removed from your body after the homebrewed one goes wrong
