Are there any $1000 and+ scope mounts?

It seems they top out at around the $500 mark. I want to take it up a notch. Anyone know of good mounts that are more $? Thanks

Get a machinist to custom fabricate something for you in a pricey metal. That will certainly take it up a "notch" as you wish and cost you lots of $$$.

Research Suhler type claw mounts. Today in Canadian dollars they will likely be close to $1000 and at least another $500+ to install by a qualified smith. Normally found on the best European rifles and much favoured for combination guns like drillings.

Holland & Holland detachable mounts are probably several thousand dollars. The G&H side mount will likely get you there, by the time you pay the exchange and installation.

Look up Ziegler ZP claw mounts, if spending money is the point. Easily would get to $C 1,000 to have installed. Sort of a "reverse" action design - front of scope lifts up to remove, whereas with traditional Suhl style claw mounts the rear of scope lifts up to remove. Ziegler's attach with rings to body of scope; Suhl style "rings" were traditionally soldered to the scope outer tube/front end.

34 mm is expensive but you need good ones, heavy S&B scopes need it, I have spent way over 1300.00 for a pair of Spuhr 34mm mounts.

Need is a bit of an overstatement.

While Spuhr's are nice, I would never consider them unless I was going to get heavily into NV shooting/hunting and wanted to mount a bunch of gadgets to my rings. Value proposition just isn't there.

A quality pair of rings such as ARC M10's (my personal favorite and IMO the best designed rings out there), badger, Seekins, NF, etc. will all work perfectly.
