Are there any bows/crossbows still in official military use ?

I had an uncle in 'Nam. He says they used crossbows frequently, and it wasn't uncommon to see a patrol out there with one. They were used mainly for "silent interdiction" of sentries or guards when either sweeping a base of operations or prisoner extraction. Alot of SF guys had them. One thing he heard from a guy back then was something along the lines of "In the bush you can make bolts from chickenfeathers and saplings. Can't make bullets."
Just thought I'd share

The last use of the long bow in the british Army was in1940. A british officer had brought his along and used it to kill a german soldier as the signal for the rest of his company to open fire!!!

"...Swords are still issued to officers..." Officer buy their swords.
Mad Jack Churchill carried a sword(basket-hilted claymore) onto the D-Day beach. Said an officer wasn't dressed without his sword. Same guy who used the bow in 1940. "he shot for Britain at the world championships in Oslo in 1939." Accomplished piper too.
If there are any bows in the CF, nobody is saying. Be surprised if there were though. Certainly not in regular PBI units.
