Now that the Liberal Government has detonated their follow-up bomb and semi-auto rifles with removable magazines will be prohibited, it has me wondering. Are there any semi-auto rifles that do not have a detachable magazine?

Other than the Garand M1. That one has been prohibited by name.

The Remington 8 and 81.

Well, the SKS... not that it matters, apparently...

Right. It's on a prohibited list, anyway, although it does not conform to the definition of a would-to-be prohibited firearm: "•(g) a firearm that is a rifle or shotgun, that is capable of discharging centre-fire ammunition in a semi-automatic manner and that is designed to accept a detachable cartridge magazine with a capacity greater than five cartridges of the type for which the firearm was originally designed".

The problem with that definition is that as soon a manufacturer offers a larger magazine it could make the rifle prohibited. Something similar happened with the Ruger Charger that ruined the "Banana" mags for the Ruger 10/22 and limited the entire 10/22 system to a 10 round limit.

Remington 7400 series and Benelli Argo should be “compliant”.

Nope, there are extended mags for the 7400 platform although hard to find. Anyways is it confirmed that these mags have to hold more than five rounds seems to be some confusion I thought the wording was any semi-auto rifle with a detachable magazine maybe somebody can post a link or cut and paste

You guys are scraping, and Mr. Hankey is smiling.
Basically, almost nothing is safe. Now that the Ruger #1 has been identified, not much is safe.

If the Browning BAR is GTG then technically these Euro rifles "should be okay":
-Benelli R1
-Sauer 303
-Voere 2185
There are a few others that slip my mind presently.
Walther or Mauser produced a deer rifle not unlike the previously mentioned Sauer.

May find the R1 considered a variant of the listed MR1
