Are there any smg's in canada that are non restricted?

It would have to have a barrel over 18 1/2", maybe some old Sterling's or Sten's, but they were probably converts too. I think the best you could do would be a pistol calibre carbine, and even then it might have to converted. A lot of them are classed as pistols, therefore restricted.
 
I think the USC (Civilian UMP) looks okay with an extended barrel, but others that I have seen in the 'States, such as the Uzi carbine look silly with the long barrel.

Sterlings, STENs and pistol calibre carbines are prohibited by name, as I recall.

theres a few sterling police carbines that are restricted only for sale in the EE right now and some new sask stens that are restricted along with the possibility of some non-res ones later on
