I intend to buy a hunting pass to Conestogo Lake conservation area. Please share your hunting experiences at Conestogo Lake as I know nothing about this area. Are there many games present (waterfowls, small games, deers, etc)? Is there a Sunday gun hunting ban? $225 is just not a small amount for me considering the purchases of firearms:bangHead:.

Thanks a lot.

I contacted the Conservation area office.

I was told that there are still some permits available. I had tried the Other Hunting Areas (22 small lots). No luck. In many of those locations, no sign of games to me:D.

This is from the GRCA web site. Contact them about deer. Rabbits and waterfowl abound though. (519) 638-2873
"...A controlled hunting program is allowed during the open season for waterfowl and small game on 930 hectares of the conservation area. A pheasant release program operates each fall and pheasant hunt season passes are $225..."
No Sunday hunting in Wellington County. There's a map on the MNR's web site.

Hi, Sunray. I read their website and the latest brochure (2007-2008). Only designated areas in the park are open to hunting. However, the thing I really want to know is the actual:D hunting oppurtunity in Conestogo Lake.
It seems that there will be 1600 pheasant released from Oct.

Thanks for your input.
