Back into reloading after many years -looking for Hornady 30 cal 150 gr sp Interlocks - but I notice most Cabelas across the country are out of them and for online purchases they have been showing backorderable for a few weeks. Just wondering if there are some sort of supply issues at this time. Does anyone know of somewhere else I could get them in the Ottawa area? I really don't want t order them online, given the ridiculous rates charged by Canada Post.

Thanks

no supply issues, the Hornady distributor in Canada has 197 boxes of that bullet in their warehouse. Talk to your local dealer about ordering some in for yourself. Cabelas probably isn't too quick to reorder

Im convinced that a lot of dealers aren't bringing in the inexpensive flat-base Interlocks, because if those are on the shelves they can’t move the more expensive ones.

Mind you; I also believe that if there are 10-20 boxes of something on a shelf it’ll sit there because there’s no panic and there’s always next time. Let there be only 2 or 3 and the first guy who spots them will take them all because they might be the last 2 in the country. Years of shortages have trained us well. ;)

Dealers tend to stock what sells. When I look at my local stores bullet shelves it is generally a sea of yellow boxes with a few other colours mixed in. The target shooters generally shoot at least 10 times the amount of bullets than a hunter does.

most people will buy the boat tail Interlock over the flat base

Stittesville Shooting Range in Ottawa should have them. Sail got out of Reloading last year. Last bet is Higgissons like others have said.

Thanks everyone - Stittsville has them and maybe Al's as well. I generally try to support stores other than Cabelas, but didn't know who else sold reloading stuff around here.
