I may be out of the loop, and have not been keeping up with the latest gun news...but I saw this and I HAVE to have one in 45ACP:

Taurus CT-G2 carbine. 9mm, 40sw, 45acp.

SO I am curious, once there is a significant amount of them on the US market, and they're in full swing/production, what chance is there that we'll see a non-res in Canada? (assuming a deal can be reached to produce 18.6" barrels, not 16)

It just seems like a really nice option to all the Beretta storms and expensive KRISS type guns...being a Taurus, I would think the price would be more reasonable.

Dear Santa...... :D

I believe these just came out, so not here yet. No idea when they will be here. The RCMP will take their sweet time classifying them.

I see no reason they wouldn't be non-restricted with proper barrel length.

You have given me hope! haha. I know the RCMP takes their time, but if I could EVENTUALLY have a non-res one, I would one happy Canadian gun owner!

You will probably see these in Canada first, in fact pretty soon.

Better product, folding stock, .45acp, not much more on price...

That Evo3 is probably the coolest looking firearm I've seen in a while, but with a 5 round magazine capacity limit and restricted classification, fvck that sh!t.
I might buy the Taurus if it takes Taurus pistol magazines and is non-restricted.

I have seen the scorpions and have been following the dealer thread(s) on them, but with a restricted status and 5 rounds..... f!ck that noise! haha

I would much rather get a taurus that could take 10 rd pistol mags, and be Non-res with an 18.6" barrel. If that comes in, and is reasonably priced (not some crazy HK pricing scheme), then I am most certainly interested in the Taurus!

Have you seen the JR carbine?

Among the top contenders for my next gun.

Non restricted, 10 round glock mags, takes many AR parts, very solid build.

Fair price to.

Yessir I have! I just don't know enough about it! What's he price like for it?

Its either the Taurus (looks nicer in my books) or the JR (thinner and lightweight, but sort of looks like one of those cheap .22 AR's... maybe I just saw prototypes).
