Does anyone get the Russian Tokarev TT33 Pistol from TEC recently?
are they good at the range?
I'm thinking of getting one, need suggestions.

I've got one from Trade Ex, and she is a good shooter. I like my TT33, and she is in good shape. I cant say anything bad about the gun and Trade Ex.

So,The polish is better than the Russian?
My friend told me that the trigger of polish's is much more soft, the Russian 's is too tight.
is it right?

I've got a '51 Russian Izhevsk and '51 Polish. The Polish has a much nicer trigger. But the Tok trigger group should be easy to massage and improve with some light polishing. You can't go wrong with either. I got the Russian from TEC, they were great to deal with. The Polish TT came from Wolverine who were also great. Wouldn't hesitate to buy from either again.

There needs to be a consumers report on these varients or someone who has them all to do a report, any volunteers :)

Polish ones are newer, look prettier. That is all. they also cost a lot more...get 2 Russian ones, some spare parts and lots of mags and ammo and your set!!!

Like usual I would say you get what you pay for. After I got a glock, nothing feels good about the tt-33.

LOL...

Lets compare a 30s era designed, single action only semi auto all steel pistols...with one made 50 years later!!!

The TT-33 can be had with all its gear for $200...its all metal and is a very SIMPLE gun. A few spare parts and it will last longer then your block will :)

Some practice, a few set of "fat" grips and painting your front sight blade white will have you shooting a whole new gun. Its not a easy gun too shoot...but it is far from a bad one.

I donno about you guys but my 1800s double barrel shotgun just isn't the same as my Benelli M4... :(

I bought a polish "new non refurbished". I paid 200$+Tx. At this price I prefer a non issued model. The russian are refurbished. Both will shoot ok, but polish look better.

Got a 1940 refurb from the batch that came in earlier this year. It's tight and about as accurate as the old combat sights will let it be. Got 1000 rounds of czech surplus from them too, seems to shoot pretty good. Had one bum primer in the first 300 rounds or so but all in all its a good cheap firearm.

I have both. Both Russian and Polish are great. Russian has history to it (WW2 dated) shoots fine. Polish 1950's production and is new and shoots fine. Can't go wrong with either one.

The difficulty in finding the proper firing pins for them have soured me on Tokarevs. Honestly, I don't recommend the gun to my friends. Not unless they're really into milsurp stuff, like oddball old guns, and want it because of what it is.

If you're buying one just because you don't want to spend more than $200-$300 on a pistol, you're making a mistake.

Wanstalls had a couple crates of BRAND NEW Polish Toks - really nice little units with perfect markings.

Not sure if they have any left - they seem to have a handle on the occasional shipment (crate of a few hundred), but they sell fast!

Someone named "Glock Perfection" opinion's on LOOKS should be taken with a grain of salt :p.

Don't dry fire it 1000s of times...

Also

TAKE IT APART PROPERLY!!! Most damaged TTs I have seen have been from people bruiting them apart and then then blaming the gun when they did it incorrectly. Get a second one while they are still cheap and it can be used as back up if one goes down.

Parts are NOT hard time find...just buy them BEFORE YOU NEED THEM as you won't be stuck waiting that way.

They are what they are, but if you wanna see how they look and fire, I again direct you to youtube's Hickok .45 tt33 review, alway fun to watch ,as he nails the 80 yard gong. Cool to have a gun that fires a light fast body armor piercing round! I don't know how to add the link or I would!
Oh yea, just because they are cheap to buy does not mean they are cheaply built remember they were built 70 years ago when labor was not much of a consideration, and in the U.S. these are going for a lot more!
