Grey area, proceed with extreme caution as in know your buyer or seller.
We are fighting an expensive court battle to get rid of this grey area of legality created by the unlawful actions of the rcmp/sfss as our entire Modern line up of rifles were NOT mentioned in the OIC, which IS law. The rcmp/sfss decided on their own to prohib our rifles by unlawfully altering and redacting the FRT.
I would not be afraid to buy or sell to long time members with a high feedback score.
Be VERY wary of newer members or members with a virtually non existent feedback rating. It just might be bait.

Also pitching in a few bucks (if you're able) to his legal fund is probably the best thing you can do if you're concerned.

I think lots of folks have the misconception that the Modern Sporter was listed in the OIC.
Their AT-15 was listed, but the Modern Sporter was not. Full Stop.
Weeks later, the RCMP on their own authority changed the Firearms Reference Table FRT for the Modern Sporter.
This what scared alot of people from using and trading the Modern Sporter.
As the RCMP themselves will disclose, the FRT is not a legal document. Full Stop.
If the RCMP were to change the FRT for Ruger 10/20s overnight tonight, then I suspect more people in the firearms community would probably become aware of the fact that RCMP's FRT is NOT the law.
I support ATRS as much as I can...when I can. They are a fantastic company!

The RCMP make up a lot of things that people take to be law.

Yes. Many say the 2nd list is an opinion not law. There's another list of banned rifles coming out on Dec 6th but many new Canadian pistol carbine style rifles are coming out.
Its a constant learning experience to know your freedoms as the world is shifting from one war to the next.

What's the source on this, particularly confirming the Dec 6 date at that PCCs are affected (I know that the Polys sent Minister Mendicino that chart/catalog, but that's just asking for a further ban - I haven't heard anything that indicates that this will actually happen, not to mention next week...?
