Are we in 22LR recession

I have been shopping for 22ls for the past two weeks and have found little avaiable. Just came back from the Merritton gun show here in Niagara and all the 22 was gone before the doors even opened. Are we in a 22lr ammo recession?

Seems to be lots of Winchester and Remington bulk packs here in the Maritimes , and they are restocking all the time.......other brands seem to be out except for packs in 50s and 100s.........
 
I just bought several thousand rounds again last weekend. I keep buying them several thousand at a time because I hear all the shortages but my LGS in BC always have stock.
 
I could buy all that I want and pretty much what I want with a bit of looking around. Prices have gone up but still ok for the most part here in Vancouver/lower mainland. I stocked up pretty well and now I just keep an eye out for deals or sales to jump on.

Yeah seems to be the same with everything. First they shrink it and charge the same, and then they raise the price a little bit later. Everything is getting smaller and they want more for it. Good ole inflation, the hidden tax f:P:

Perkins is a gas station/gun store in Pembroke, buckets of bullets out the ass if you want them 70 each I think it was. Also if you need 7.62x39 or SKS give him a call, great selection of both and pretty much piled to the roof with them.

Lol....yes over buying is an easy trap to fall into . I did it myself , I must have well over 20,000 rounds of 22 lr now ....plus i have quite a number of handguns , rifles and shotguns in various other cal. and guages as well . I hope I never get raided , they will think i am stocking up for WW111......as long as the Walking Dead of the Golpher World does not occur , I should be set for 22 lr for awhile.....
 
My bro in law just paid 40$ for a bulk pack of Remington Thunderbolts at Peavy Mart here in Medicine Hat. I just shook my head and headed to walmart for some win 333 packs for 14$ a box

T-bolts may be cheaper, in the long run. Cause ain't nobody gonna try to bum some offa ya.
