Been to both WSS and Cabella's in Winnipeg and they have no IMR4350, H4350, Imr4895, H4895, varget and a couple of others I asked for. Is this the same in other major centres? Is it worth trying to mail order it with hazardous delivery charges if those apply? Are the states no longer shipping to Canada? I notice the Benchmark I bought says made in Canada, packaged in the USA. Who's making it?

I went to Higginson in ONT and 3 others in Quebec IMR 4350 and IMR 4895 are no where to be found

I will try to find some Hybrid 100V this week

I just picked up 6 lbs of Varget and 6 lbs of US869 at Backcountry in Fort St. John. Barton's in Grande Prairie seems to have a good selection of Vihtavuori Powders right now (big dollars though).

williams told me they could get what i wanted..just to order a few days in advance,as they were restricted to the amount they could carry on hand

I picked up 2 lbs of h4350 and 1 of h4895 on saturday in Ottawa. I really wanted 4lbs of each plus varget. Its hard for a newbie like me (who can't shoot) to work up loads with this constant changing suppy of powder.

I understand why people buy powder in 8lb jugs now.

Two weeks ago I was in Wholesale Sports (formerly Sportsman's Warehouse) in Burlington, WA (between Bellingham and Seattle) and their primer, powder, brass and bullet shelves were for all intents and purposes empty. It's not just Canada.

We currently have most common powders, primers, bullets and casings in stock. Obviously we can be out of stock from some manufactures from time to time (Hornady has been poor lately supplying components and reloading tools). We get supplies in from several sources so this allows us to maintain most inventories most of the time. Phil.

Is it cost effective to buy mail order? Can you give us some idea of charges involved in shipping quantities of powder?

I can't find Varget anywhere around here. I called Epps and they're sold out. Next shipment expected in February! :runaway:I just cracked open my last container and am starting to get nervous. Good to go for primers though.:dancingbanana:
