Are winchester scopes any good ?

Have just been offered a Winchester 6.5-20x50mm scope. I cant find any relevent information (Vanguard site down). I would like to know what you guys thought of winchester scopes in general. Would it look out of place on a M14, if not what kind of scope mount (best value) would you recomend ?

As in Winchester the firearms company? I'm pretty sure they don't make scopes, so if they've got a line of branded scopes I'd try to find out who makes them - it may be a re-branded tasco or something similar.

I've never seen one though, so I can't speak to their quality.

Do a search on the net, I saw Burris, Barska and Vortex scopes that look the same for 6.5-20x50...
