Are you disillusionised when shopping for a black rifle?

When we see companies like Blueline, Questar, and Dlask with reasonably priced Canadian made AR parts sitting on the self for months on end being ignored, while people are asking for the latest valued priced AR parts to be brought up from the US, just goes to show you that we will not be able to support a Canadian black rifle.

Unless this rifle can shoot sub MOA in the hands of blind person, has more accessories than Barbie, be feature on the cover of every magazine in the world and still comes under a price tag of $1000......:runaway:

+10000

Yes you have summed it up, thank you Sir!

you tacticool black gun would only be sold in canada, maybe europe.

you can't export NON-SPORTING guns to the states.

have a look at the non US made guns they sell.

a CANADIAN DESIGNED gun will only ever fill a very small niche market (expensive), just ask Dlask and ATRS why they have quality and expensive, no cheap and mass produced.

Also i think Canadians need to understand buying cheap crap is not the best root!

Just think what you are getting out of these rifles in the first place!

I find the majority of people that complain about price simply don't have the money and never will, they would rather spend the money at the bar or buy some useless piece of garbage from china! Support Dlask and ATRS, stop complaining and b***G most of these rifles are not that expensive, people pay more for a s**tty vacation, or on cigarettes every year. Just take a break from your other so called priorities!

Bang!

Plus, consumables are gone for ever. Not all rifles go up. Not many beat appreciation. Many hold their value well, but all hold it better then the above consumables.

That said, if it is a matter of giving someone a norc m4, or m14 so that they can have an entry into the hobby, then I am all for it. Especially with the norc m4. Relatively easy to get that shooting going forward if it does nto already.

I haven't had cable for years I quit smoking, I rarely drink I have two kids and lots of bill's, any extra cash I get goes into my hobby, I will save my ass off and have ATRS custom build me a black rifle so I may enjoy it for years to come. I have spent about $4000 this year on my hobby, to most here that's nothing but to me its a lot.
Quality over quantity as it has to last me and I can't afford to be soaking money into repairs on cheap guns.

Exactly! I think people forget, that when you actually look at how much ammo any AR on a few skids will go through if properly maintained and kept on top of new parts, people would start thinking about this properly!

A friend of mine purchased a motorcycle, but said a good AR is out of his league, it's too expensive for him, I told him bulls**t. Here's why...The amount of ammo you can shoot through your AR will weigh more than your bike practically, I ask him how much he has spent on his 6k motorcycle and some of his other hobbies.. as he listed them he stopped and came to realize he was kidding himself.

Most Canadians will only spend between $500 too a $1000 on a rifle if that! On other hobbies, well the sky's the limit... Cheap food from restaurants that is supplied by the same company, hey they will go there no problem..

What about spending money on say Life Insurance when they die and leave there family with debt and no income = most Canadians these days don't care, there answer is I'm dead what do I care...:bangHead:

Fact is most Canadians don't deserve the opportunity to own these firearms in the first place...these rifles are affordable as they are, and if they are spending on other crap then that is their priority and they get what they deserve! The same people that are complaining are usual just cheap, people on here talk a big game, but how many of them would even cough up 10 bucks to join this website.

As for making an affordable rifle for Canada, there are already affordable AR's out there, if you can only cough up $500 if that a month then save up and cut out smoking and all the other excessive crap you are spending your money on. But please stop #####ing like it is so difficult!

What are your priorities?
For you cheapsters out there....YOU ARE NOT WORTH THE BOTHER!

SO SEEK LIFE ELSEWHERE

disillusioned

Restricted--non res. is just something everyone likes to throw into the mix of conversation, that being said, and our laws as they currently stand suck. The funny thing is everyone I know that has a non res. "black rifle" are at the RANGE where all the restricted black rifles are,Not seeing a big plus in spending huge money for a non restricted that does only goes to the range anyhow (AR vs XCR vs SIG etc...) Any hunting trips (great gopher safari) that I have been on with guys that own non res. black rifles bring their bolt gun in favor of the others they own.
There are several Canadian manufactures that produce great AR platforms yet the majority of people will still buy a Norc.,Rem.,bushmaster,or what have you. Want to preach BUY CANADIAN then put your money where your mouth is do so. Anyhow thats my rant--still confused

Norinco makes cheap black rifles......... their M4 is pretty sweet.

Also, the type 97 bullpup is sweet too if the case goes in our favor. It was a damn .223 bullpup non restricted for ...oh what was it....$800ish.

The only reason they are that affordable is because ........what do they pay their employees....... yeah like i want to support slave labor = no thanks..

It's going to be funny when this country makes nothing and these Asian companies start jacking up their prices, very funny indeed...just keep shooting yourself in the foot!

The only people I feel bad for are the ones that see this coming and tried to warn others with logical arguments based on facts, as for the majority of idiots out there that just want to cash in, can't wait to see you guys get what you deserve!

Hope your Norinco's blow up in your face!

well that was warm and fuzzy. so you feel bad for yourself? although i wouldnt call that so much of a warning as a bashing of a company whos products have a great reputation for reliability. not everyone can afford domestically built rifles.

Give me a break, the difference is a couple hundred bucks, get a job and work! Hell well-fare cases could afford a decent AR, just cut out all the booze/drugs and cigarettes for a year. Great reputation of what??........SLAVE labor..

When premium rifles with their nifty billet lowers start beating me in Service Rifle I will give a damn, until then it is a gimmick. Best money spent on upgrades is on a barrel, followed by ammo followed by optics.

Works with any rifle from the SS2 to the AUG.

If I were a multi millionaire, I will manufacture a 100% made in Canada AR15 at a cost of a Norc M4. I don't care about making $$$ by then. Time to give back to the firearms community.

Alas, me not even close to a millionaire. Sorry. Can't help. :(

We have a huge hunter community in Canada. No, the market is not that small. They now using black rifles for hunting down south. So if our hunters are using black rifles for hunting it makes that type of guns more commons and the government will have think about it twice before banning them. Plus, we could now sodomize the US market with our new rifle design.

If they kept it non-restricted, I think it might have a chance.

x2 Billet offers no advantage over forged other than perhaps aesthetics.

WOW, just wow...wishing serious injury or death to another gun nut, hope i never come across losers like you....

Yes it is harsh
Well if you are that ignorant to put so much faith in a rifle that is made according to what standards again????? And then expect it to work flawlessly and complain about no Canadian made AR's out there, or any black rifle you get what you deserve in my book. Have fun with your slave labor made firearms..... It will be funny when those are the only firearms that are manufactured eventually for the market and they jack up their prices, so then you will be paying for a cheap low quality rifle at a premium...hahahahah

I definitely don't want to be standing next to you in a firing line, have fun with your Norc garbage rifle! Truthfully i have nothing really against Norc rifles in general besides there slave labor, but mostly against the type of people that buy them and then expect the world out of them!

But then again you navy guys always seem to lack the understanding of the big picture and completely miss the point :stirthepot2:

start buying mini 14s and 30s... accuracy is good with new models and maby the more we buy the easier it would be to get more mags here....did i mention cheap and non restricted and it will piss off a liberal to boot...:D
