I just picked up 800 rounds of norinco 5.56x45 ball ammo and i have a couple of questions im hoping someone can answer.

1) The ammo came in a metal sardine can and inside were 20-40 round paper wrapped packages. No yellow box. Is this stuff non-corrosive? Reliable? Its brass cased.

2) I bought this ammo to feed a new norinco cq-a i bought. I am under the impression the cqa is chambered for 5.56 nato but can anyone confirm this.

Thanks!

Norc cq-a should be a 5.56 chamber.

That ammo is non-corrosive and reloadable

In my experience the stuff in the spam can has been more reliable than the yellow box stuff. I ran through an entire 800 rnd spam can without a stoppage, with the yellow box I'm getting maybe 2 duds in 100.

I ran a bunch today through two uppers, a 16" HBAR and 12.5" unmarked barrel. It all ran fine, didn't shoot much, just 100rnds.
One thing I can say is that through my 16" the 5rnd group was about 2- 2.5" bigger than with other quality stuff I was shooting with heavier 62-69gr pills.
