I guess for me it all boils down to value for the hard earned money. Knowing where the guts come from in a new 2000+ M1A does not make me very impressed with the price tag... Warranty or not.
If rack grade M1A's were priced 1000.00 less, I feel the price would then be representative of the composition of the rifle.
I'm spoiled though , because I have access to GI parts and hammer forged receivers, which in my experience, come out way ahead of a rack grade springer when looking at quality of build versus money spent.
My big beef with springfield started when I was a wholesale buyer in the sporting goods industry, at a "Worldwide Distributors" buyers convention in Reno. I was fondling a socom2 at their display and when the rep found out I was from Canada... His demeanor and behavior went into the toilet. I've pretty much said phuck springfield ever since LOL
