During a zombie invasion do you think anyone is going to be stopping people and telling them they can't use that pistol to put a zombie down because it's restricted?
WROL (without rule of law) will be our world if/when this scenario plays out and when fighting for your life you use any tool you can get your hands on. The (ex) cops will be too busy fighting for their own lives to care what we do.

It's coming faster than you think but it will be Americans coming up here to escape their government trying to disarm them and being sent to the FEMA camps. They will be desperate and heavily armed.
Watch some youtube vids if you don't think it's coming. There is a real sh!tstorm brewing down there.

Still only backup for when your battle rifle runs dry though ;)
 
I would think a shotgun would be the WORST Zombie gun.
- shot is too widespread, headshots are required. Slugs are ok, but see next point.
- a 100 box of shells are too damn heavy to cart around on foot for long periods of time.

I'll stick with my SKS or 464 SPX 30-30 :evil:
 
I would think a suitable shotgun would be pretty effective against the walking dead...

However the one really big negative would be the ammo, not even so much the size and weight of it but the fact that few people seem to have much in the way of buck and slug ammo on hand in any quantity.
