How many of our posters own and use caliber conversion kits with their pistols? Many rave about being able to shoot 44 Specials in a 44 Magnum or 38 Specials in a 357 Magnum. You have the same advantage with semiautomatic pistol conversion units. The following are those that I own and use:
1. FIE TZ75 TZ 9mm Barrel and EEA 40 S&W Barrel and slide
2. Glock 23 (G23) Bar-Sto Barrel 9mm, Bar-Sto Barrel 40 S&W, and Glock 40 S&W Barrel
3. Glock 27 (G27) Bar-Sto Barrel 9mm, Glock 40 S&W Barrel, and 357 Sig Barrel
4. CZ75B factory 9mm barrel and 22 LR Kadet Conversion Unit
5. Glock 21 (G21) Glock 45acp Barrel and KKM 10mm Barrel
The first unit I purchased was the EEA 40 S&W Barrel and slide. It took minor machining to get the safety to operate correctly and I had to purchase 40 S&W magazines. This unit has worked well for years
The second unit was a Bar-Sto 40 S&W that works with my Glock 23. I do not trust reloads in Glock and by purchasing a Bar-Sto I am able to shoot both lead and reloads. This barrel gave me confidence in Irv Stone’s Bar-Sto barrels.
I next ordered a Ptarmigan (?) 357 Sig Barrel from CDNN for my Glock 27 and it works well. I then decided that it was time to order a Bar-Sto 9mm barrel for my Glock 27. Why did I want this? The answer is Stephen A. Camp was so happy with his Glock 26 I wanted to try a 9mm. The barrel arrived and the fit and finish was all that Irv Stone is noted for but it was meant to fit a Glock 23. I struck a deal with Irv, I received a 9mm for the G27, and I kept the 9mm G23 barrel all at a cost I could afford.
My experience with Glock 40 pistols and 9mm barrels has been the use of 9mm magazines makes them completely reliable. Before buying 9mm magazines, both my G23 and G27 stuttered while using 40 mm magazines. I have heard the opposite from others in that every thing fed and fired using 40 S&W magazines.
I have owned a CZ75 for years but when I saw a chance to buy a CZ75B for $249.00, I jumped on it. I honestly see very little that is better on a CZ75 than the CZ75B. I then saw an add for a 22 LR Kadet Conversion Unit and I bought it. This kit cost me $210.00 and that included a spare magazine. Again, the unit required minor fitting and this unit lives on the CZ75B. How good is this 22 LR Kadet Conversion Unit? This is the 22 handgun I shoot the most.
The last conversion I purchased was KKM 10mm Barrel for my Glock 21 45acp and it is great. I posted and received advice, which was to buy a 21-pound recoil spring and two Glock 20 magazines. This is, to me, is a great weapon made even better with the KKM 10mm Barrel.
These are my experiences with conversion units and barrels for handguns I own. I hope that you will share your expeiences and opinions.

Richard
