Easy $120 fix and it is still cheaper than a T97.

The T97 makes Wendy cry more...

The quality is decent, the price is ok. I don't like the poorly designed ergonomics (mag release and safety). I don't like the 1980's carry handle or inability to mount common optics. Not a fan of the iron sights on this rifle either. But yes I do still like it. Frankly I think it's a nice looking rifle. Glad to have it in my collection. But... I'm being realistic here. Rifles I'm more likely to actually shoot frequently are my AR rifles, Tavor, CZ858. The T97 will be a fun novelty and a nice part to my collection. Again I do actually like the T97. If trimming that collection the T97 would go before those others mentioned. That being said it's a smart move by companies as it fits the right niche in the Canadian firearms market.
This isn't my first bullpup rifle.

Your talking about the T97 as a novelty as it sits beside a PS90?
The T97 is a novelty. It means every broke @$$ gun nut can afford to buy it and shoot it with cheaper ammo. It's not made to be the creme de la creme of bullpups. Just allow people who generally can't afford to get into bullpups able to buy one and shoot it.
I still hate it. Ugly, poor ergonomics, crappy control location and its not ambidextrous.
Being affordable isn't a quality that makes something a novelty, at all. I already had a Tavor and will be getting the T97 this week after the last payment is made and I will decide for myself. What exactly differentiates this from the crem de la creme? We have what, 4 bullpups in Canada? Sure mag release sucks, this will be alleviated with an aftermarket part. Safety location is awful, but not a gun breaker. I personally dont care that its not ambi so thats not a factor for me, and lastly I dont mind the looks of the gun at all.
We have the
Tavor
PS90
FS2000
T97
RFB
Tangfolio Apeal
It's already been stated by many the Tavor is a superior bullpup compared to the T97. The FS2000 and PS90 are excellent high quality bullpups that many can't afford to buy or to shoot and are not readily available like the Tavor. The RFB is in a class all of its own cause it comes in man sized caliber. The Tangfolio is a 22LR and isn't fair to compare.
The T97 has lots of cons with the only pros being cheap and shoots inexpensive ammo. It's a novelty cause its intended for a lower end market all of its own. Kinda like wanting a Corvette but buying a Fiero cause its what you can afford but it lacks the performance of the real deal.
Novelty sure but I'm starting to think of it as a poser.

Where are the facts that the T97 is an under performer? What we have here are assumptions. The PS90 is the biggest novelty of them. Ammo is scarce and magazines (from what I know) are as well. Its a niche calibre in this country.
Tavor is superior? Maybe, but how? Just stating its superior is a cop out. I paid $950 for my T97 all in new. Tavor new would cost me 3K. If I bought it used, maybe $2500. Still almost or more than 3x the price. For 99% of what we use these guns for here in Canada I believe the T97 will do everything the Tavor does and with a (reportedly) better trigger. Out of the list you gave it really comes down to the Tavor, FS200 and T97 (calibre similarity) I personally like how much more slim the T97 is in comparison to the Tavor/FS200.
And now you call it a poser? Jeez I really don't know what to say to that. Let me ask you this, which rifle was created first, the T97 or the Tavor/FS200? With that in mind, how can you call it a poser? Bad choice of words IMO.
Guys, all these guns are novelty items, many of us were around for one $1000.00 Augs, $450.00 Fns, $600.00 HK-91s and modified HK94s which looked like MP5s, the masses never wanted any part of it because a Colt SP1 or a SGW AR were Non Restricted... AR becomes Non Restricted tomorrow, the entire exotic gun market (work arounds) are done. Until then I will enjoy them...####ty mag releases or not.

Aside from the fact that I love my Tavor, this is probably going to be the poster rifle for gun control with the next Government. So... I guess enjoy it while it lasts.![]()
...The other encouraging thing is if you look at the Deans List of most Canadian universities, what do you see? Lots of Chins, Chans, Lees, and Hongs. You don't see as many Campbells, Browns, Smiths, or. Joneses - this is especially true in fields of science, engineering, technology, and business.
...The T97 is the biggest confirming indicator of this trend for me...
the "real chinese" food is just as appalling as the american style. Steamed meat, fried chicken feet, rice wrapped in tobacco leaves....at least that's what it tasted like. The msg soaked garbage covered in flavoured slime is just as horrible...point is, china suckslol
