Area suggestion for Moose in 7B - Ontario

Hi all,

I'm in Thunder Bay. With the recent drop in tags available in 13, we decided to put in for our moose tags in a new WMU this year. Ended up with a Bull tag for 7B and trying to work out where to set up camp on crown land for a period in Oct or November. Looking for suggestions as the only areas in 13 we are familiar with are near Kenora and surrounded by cottages/camps. We have a few ideas, but hoping someone with more experience in the area is willing to help out.

I would think that your chances of a moose are pretty slim in 7B. But I would look somewhere between Sioux Narrows and Kenora. The problem with 7B is that it is mostly Lake of the Woods. There are a few logging roads off the west side of highway 71 north of Sioux Narrows that you could explore. Personally though, I haven't seen a moose between Nestor Falls and Kenora while traveling the highway in many years.
