I've been looking to replace my standard A2 flash hider with a compensator of some type. I'm really interested in the battlecomp but they seem to be taking a while to get here. I noticed this comp on Armtacs website and I researched it a bit. Looks very impressive, however, does anyone have any experience with any of these? What are their flash suppressing properties like? Also, when installing these does the barrel need to be viced or can I use a receiver block? Also, do they need to be properly indexed at all, or just torqued to spec? Any feedback would be appreciated!

I also just recently came across these online, kind of agree with the last post, seem to have too many little bits to it; certainly a choking hazard ;)

But how many other tunable comps are there out there? Very pleased with mine. You can actually tune them to the point that you have negative muzzle rise when you shoot. Not that you would want to run it like that, but pretty cool!

Should be indexed with one row of holes pointing straight up and this will give you one row pointing strait down as well. Truthfully it would probably work with them positioned any old way because you can tune it anyway. If you use a crush washer they are easy to index.

Ok, I know they come with crush washers, I'm just wondering if the barrel would need to be viced to install the muzzle device though. I would think not as you don't have to crush 90 degrees like the standard A2 model. My rail covers almost the entire barrel so vicing the barrel would involve removal and reinstallation of my DD lite rail.

i've got one, I'll let you know when i finally get the time to install the dang thing! Been way too busy lately and itching to get it on and try it out
