Argentinian 20-rd SAFN magazines (sigh)

Non sponsor and American seller Liberty Tree Collectors lists a very unusual 20 round magazine that apparently is for the Argie's FN49 (SAFN) conversion model. Not far off plausibility.

Too bad it is south of the 49th (or the 45th in some parts of CA) Parallel and not importable because of its capacity.

That is indeed what it's for - the Argentine Navy converted their FN-49s to 7.62x51mm fed by that detachable magazine. Unfortunately the magazines do not interchange with FAL magazines despite looking very similar, which would certainly make them easier to find. Here's the rifle I had for a brief period, would have liked to have kept it but was pursuing other things at the time. They cost a pretty penny these days but are definitely my favourite FN-49 variant.
