Arisaka Type 99

I'll start this by saying that i have THE BEST GIRLFRIEND EVER!!!! yesterday she surprised with an early xmas gift, a very beautiful Arisaka type 99. I'd been wanting one for a while now for my collection. I have to admit, i know very little about those rifle. All i know is that this one is not a late war production based on some reading i'd done in the past. Now the fun begins, can anyone point me i the direction of good references sources for markings and production years. Thanks
