I see Armalite offers lower AR recievers in poly. What would be the advantages besides 1lb less weight?

Ironic , because we've heard how AR180b owners would like an aluminum lower instead of the poly.

They are cav-arms lowers. Been around a few years in the states. Yes the only real advantage is weight. Another is supposed to be price. AR180B owners dont have the choice between the two, AR owners do.
 
I have the 180b , and I don't mind it at all. As far as a alum lower yea it would be nice but nothign I would spend any great amount of cash on .Might be better as far as wearing the mag well down over a time frame of years. My .02 cents
