Armalite AR180B Frequently Asked Questions, revised Dec. 26/07

The first batch of 100 is down to less than 15 left.

However, we currently have another batch of 100 on the CNC right now. We can make them whenever we need to, all I have to do is order some billet.

These are a lot easier for me to process than the retro forgings because they don't have to be polished to get the anodizing to turn out right.

Mike I received my receiver and I must say, what a great job you did on them, changeover was a breeze and the gun functions better than new , thanks for your continued focus on this project, I certainly hope you are able to sell many of these

The cross member on the underside of the upper is more forward on the original in order to provide a flat for the BHO plunger to push against.

It would have to be notched to allow the "B" style BHO to work.

Either that, or you can neuter the tab on the "B" style BHO so the follower doesn't lift it. And run it like an AK.

Mike,
Thanks so much for offering these lowers to the Canadian market. I have 2 of them and they are a complete breath of new life into an awesome rifle platform. They work awesome. Everything is a perfect fit. Kudos to you my friend!

Decided to finally upgrade the trigger in my 180 so yesterday I installed an ALG ACT nickel boron treated trigger group. Dropped in easily and it's so much nicer than the original. Really nice $100 upgrade :)

I'll post some pics next time I'm on the laptop instead of the tablet.

I’m thinking of doing the same upgrade. Where did you get yours from ?

What weight is the trigger? Really like that nickel boron coating !

It came with a purple hammer spring that is supposed to give it a 4.5 lb pull and it also came with a grey spring that is supposed to give it a 6 lb pull and is to be used for hard primer ammo if light strikes are occurring. I put in the purple and first 10 shots were perfect with American Eagle black box 55gr. I haven't tried my trigger scale on it yet.

Just so you know, the ACT is a single stage trigger.

Looking forward to getting the WK180-C in a few weeks. I think the one IRG and RWA are doing will turn out nicely as well. Some images just because.

I know this is an old-ass thread, but did you ever end up changing out barrels on your 180B? I just acquired one and am also interested in IPSC.
