Armalite or RRA lower?

Armalite. :) The name that started it all.

The current Armalite isn't the original Armalite company. They simply purchased the rights to the name and started selling "Armalites."

Both makers will probably offer good service, but if I had my druthers, I'd opt for LMT or STAG.

yeah, I love STAG, but I couldn't find one, Armseast doesn't have any in stock. :(

?? So, what has that got to do with his question.
That is like saying Mr. Knight just piggy backed on the Stoner name and started making rifles.....?

Armalite the name that started it all. It is just a fact, live with it.

Imbane i actually own both types of lowers. I find both good kit with very little difference in quality. If this is your first build you will be happy with either. I will say this my Armalite lower is a better fit for my Armalite uppers than when I mate them to the RRA lower.

Hi, gunbuny, my first build is a STAG, it's great. I've handled Armalite, it's nice too, but I've never seen a RRA in person, so I don't really know how it looks and feels. Thanks for the reply, I think I may get the Armalite. :)

Armalite makes a quality rifle. If it's a stripped lower, there shouldn't be any reason why you wouldn't choose it, if you are trying to save a little on the costs of your build.

Why don't you just buy mine, its in the EE, comes with a nice stock and a sweet trigger.

Having owned both an RRA lower and Armalite lower... RRA definitely.

Both will work. But, I like nice appearances/quality "look"... the RRA was made with a quality finish (no tooling marks, etc), the Armalite wasn't.

I have both. The upper may have something to do with it, but my Armalite wobbles and the RRA is very, very tight. For that I'd say go for the RRA.

I also have a Stag, it's tight but not as tight as the RRA.

My Armalite is smooth as glass, not sure where these "tool marks" are? Armalite makes a great product in my opinion, mine was a stripped lower from Wolverine. Now it has a Daniel Defense upper along with a 10.5 inch Noveske barrel :)
