Armalite Stock Inquiry

Just purchased an Armalite M15, it's stock, no mods, brand new. Wondering if it's got a Milspec tube or a Comm tube. The stock on it right now is an Spade (ACE Brand?!) logo collapsible. Did Armalite contract out there stocks or manufacture them in house. Anyone shed some light on this topic? Tried calling Armalite, but no dice. Also, anyone with any information on Armalite Serial Numbers know if the US****** series Serial Numbers are actual Military contract or civy?

Their stock tubes changed over the years - it is hard to tell, it depends on its vintage.

The US military only buy complete rifles from Colt and FN. However, many manufacturers do sell to other countries.....like Bushmaster.
