You, yourself, a couple of stones and youtube. Really. 1911's ain't rocket science. Besides, their only norincos...
I traded him my older norc 1911 with at least 500 rds through it( from me) for a newer norc.( not sure as I bought it used!)
He sold it as new on his site.
The norc I got with Gunnar's famous 'tune' I was told had little work done to it from a gunsmith I trust.
What do you think?
Will I buy from him again?

It is not any better if your local, lies right to your face. I had 2 transactions that dragged on for months. Told him to shove it, i'll never step foot in his shop again and if I see him at the pistol range i'll go shoot rifle or shotgun till hes gone. Has anyone had any dealings with bumble bee custom yet? I am not dragging BBC into this, I just know he worked for armco and they parted ways. Wonder if he's worth while going too as an option.
What you don't know is that he has been dealing with a life threatening medical condition and had a relapse that almost killed him. Priorities.

As terrible as that is, he always seems to find the time to cash peoples cheques, and take their money.
The stories here are neverending, with accounts of him communicating well, up until payment is made.
The several accounts of him selling guns with lies in the descriptions mentioned above are icing on the cake.
Health problems are one thing, but screwing over countless people and blaming health conditions doesn't make it right. If it was just a couple bad deals then so be it, but this is an ongoing problem, and I would say there is at least a dozen of these types of threads every year.

Totally agree with bollox. I turned my stock Norinco commander into a very fine shooting pistol, some stone work, a little file work and some sanding/smoothing combined with time and elbow grease. I also switched out the trigger, sear, disconnect and main spring. I used all Fusion Firearms parts. Turned into one of the nicer 1911's I've ever shot. All done by myself with a beer beside me
Hi sent him my Armco Norinco 1911 in December 2012 for warranty repair and I'm still waiting for it to come back. Multiple e-mail sent and always he reply that it should be already repaired or that he will check.
I'm despair in and don't know what to do with this anymore!

I bought a revolver from him on jan. 2nd and he took over two weeks before he even called in to start the transfer, this was after he complained to me on the phone about the BC CFO taking their sweet time to complete transfers.
When I finally got the gun after about 6 weeks it wasn't nearly as nice as he described it!
In fact, I'd probably send it back if it wouldn't take so bloody long!

For me that was the worst experience ever in terms of buying a firearm, as he tried to sell me the revolver that he didn't own.
I paid the price plus tax plus shipping and didn't hear back from him after the money was collected.
He ignored my contact attempts (phone calls, emails, fax) for over 8 weeks.
Stay away from that guy!

He sold and installed me a crooked compensator, sent it back only to see my top end 7 months later (after the initial 4months to install the crooked one)
and lo and behold after reading this thread I checked his website out of curiosity, he sells a "Four Star" Ed Brown 40/10mm comp exactly like the one he installed and removed for me
I wonder if someone else fell for it before me lol

I've had a quite a few transactions with him over the years. I've heard his reasons and excuses as well. Very slow turnaround time on gunsmith work with next to none communication and I've bought and sold some handguns from him with some amazingly slow delivery times. Yes, very easy to get the impression that one has been forgotten once he has your money or firearm and if you get a hold of him don't expect your business with him to conclude any faster but do expect reasons, excuses and empty promises. I've stood behind him in the past when there have been negative comments posted about him but I have become very hesitant to do any business with him and cannot recommend him or stand behind him anymore.
