Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on Armco Guns in Prince George BC? I bought a Norc NZ 85 from the ee, and had the previous owner ship it to Armco for a trigger job and internals polishing before its sent my way. I was able to get a reply on a price through email from them. Since then, nothing. The pistol is sitting at the post office for days now. Notice was left at Armco. They don’t answer the phone or emails. Anyone else ever deal with them? Not impressed to say the least.

Gunnar retired a few years back, all equipment sold to Clarence
And he’s doing pistol work now. I would contact the seller to find out who he sent it to

Armco.......oh my. I could be wrong but it sure sounds like nothing has changed.

He had it sent to the address on the website. When I first contacted them through email, I got a response and price from Gunnar. Nothing since.
Thanks for the heads up.

Buy a pistol.....initiate transfer.....might receive the firearm in 3 to 4 months.....maybe not at all.....and it most definitely won't be in the condition you thought it would be in.........as for gunsmithing....be prepared to be without your pistol for years

To the OP get hold of your seller and see if he can get the Post Office to return the item due to the fact the item has not been picked up. You might consider telling the PO it is a firearm. They will take more interest in your request. hat was my experience when a gun I mailed to my son went missing for a couple of days. They found the package quickly when they were advised it was a firearm shipment.

I would not lay this all on Gunnar. I will say this he always dealt a straight hand with me. I regard him as a friend. Some folks should remember a line from Julius Caesar where Anthony suggests "the evil that men do lives after them but good is often interned with the bones", with apologies to Mr. Shakespeare.

Take Care

Gunnar has been having health issues the last couple of years. In and out of the hospital with out warning. Sounds like another episode. Be patient and watch his website for situation updates. Jean, his wife, has posted sit reps in the past. If undelivered, CP should be returning the item to the sender per SOPs.

PM me the number and email you have been trying. I may have different info.

Never had problem with his Smith work in the past before he retired.

He hasn't updated his site since Dec. 30 2017, maybe he's gone for holidays still. He usually updates it every 48 hours. That alone can tell you he isn't ignoring you.

He’s a good guy...but as others have stated ...impossible to get hold of...would have sent it to Clarence at bumblebee custom..again great work and decent turn around...jmho

He is a good guy people, just getting long in the tooth. Have bought and sold lots of firearms from/to him and has done a few tunes and re-blues for me as well.

I got caught up in the door alarm while at the hospital fiasco. A gun I had purchased ended up being one that was confiscated. Gunner did eventually refund my purchase. The whole thing took over two months to get sorted out and, yes, I was getting pretty torqued about it, I had the cert and no gun. In retrospect, he had bigger problems than my singular purchase to deal with at the time.

At least you got your money back, that was pretty good of him. Sometimes there comes a time when he should close up shop and enjoy his retirement. It seems like with his health and other problems that he has a lot on his plate.

Yes, I agree, and that's a shame because he was great to deal with.

EDIT: See Gunnar's website, he updated on the 13th. He has been sick since Dec.
