So this Gunnar guy wont return my emails after having my gun for two months now. Others are having the same problem. Last contact was Sept 27, since then I've sent 3 emails with no response, not picking up the phone either. Any advice?

Apparently being a busy gunsmith with some skills, or a popular store with good inventory is reason enough to have piss poor customer service, and communication!

You will find this is true of many firearm businesses in Canada.

There is not enough competition to change this unfortunately!

Awesome.. He did send it back once but it came back completely non-functional rather than tuned so he told me to send it back. That was over a month ago...

Gunnar has been sick on and off since the summer. Hopefully he will soon be back up to full speed.

Best bet is try the phone on the days he indicates - Mon,Wed, Fri - or wait for a return email.

I have bought quite a number of Firearms from Gunner and have found that he is promt and follows through on any of the numerous deals I have had with Him. He had a severe Sunstroke early this summer and is recovering.
If you are patient I'm sure he will make things right once he is back on track after his Sunstroke.

Oooh

that sucks big time. Gunnar is soo soo busy and has too little help with his business. He needs a couple of good, honest, skilled and hard working, gun savvy 30 somethings to help him out. Is he going to find these folks in Prince George, BC ?

Sort of like Del Selins in Vernon. Another classic shop .. been for sale for a while.

Succession planning..... ??

I will sure miss both Gunnar and Del when and if they ever retire !!

Two of Canada's best right here in BC !!

Mr wonderfull strikes again, a severe sunstroke eh............... LOL

BAHAHHAHAHH I knew it , maybe send a sombrero to the master up in the Prince George riviera....... :)

I met him at the PG Gun Show earlier this year. If you can, be there for 2011. Not as big etc as Kamloops but worth the trip.

From all the things I hear about him and they are good, He's old school. Send him a letter :) I'm just sorry I didn't get to meet him in person at the provincials.

The sunstroke story is actually true. I've bought a few handguns from him, and he always has top notch merchandise. The last time I dealt with him, we had a major miscommunication that got me a little annoyed. In the end, I was very satisfied with the deal, and felt bad about giving him ####. I'm sure you'll get your work done properly, and he'll probably give you a great deal.

Who else is willing to trade for just about anything? And he trades fairly. He makes money, but he always values your trade-in at a fair price.

Two months might still be in transit ... Wortners got one of mine for over 7 months. Actually It's been soo long I dont remember what it is
