Gunnar is ok by me!

Gunnar has a very good name in the gun business. Anyone in the gun business will tell you so. I have bought 2 prohibs from him and everything was hunky dory. Some people will only trust him to touch their guns. Don't panic and start a one man campaign over something that was explained on his sight for over a month now. When a one man show gets sick, stuff backs up. Take a pill.

The man gets ill and has a full inbox of ppl asking where is my pistol, Is my pistol done yet. And a lot worse probly .. Honest I would ignore my phone and emails to why add more stress trying to screen out the good from the bad....Just wait it will be done and correct IMO

I guess after hearing all the good things abour Armco I was kind of pissed having received my gun back the first time completely boned and not even cycling. That and paying for shipping twice. He sent an email saying he would fix it up asap second time around but that was a month ago...this is one of the only industries where you can ship somebody something that you were supposed to "tune up" in worse condition than you got it, and then just ignore the guy afterwards when you promised to fix it. Best of all everyone thinks still youre awesome lol. maybe I need to hit 40 and get some more patience. For now at 34, to me two months is insane.

another funny thing is he finds a way to update his website almost every day. Sunstroke does not affect ability to type after all.

You'd think a guy could at least cover the shipping if you have to send it back on account of him....

My only purchase was one of the Armco treated cheap Norinco .22lr Woodsman clones..... had all kinds of problems with feeding most everything I tried and when I talked with Gunnar about it he figured it must have been shipped out without getting the ARmco treatment.... I decided to just return it and he gave me back the purchase price minus the shipping that I paid both ways. Sort of left a bad taste in my mouth because that gun should not have been shipped in the first place.

I've done a number of deals with Gunnar on the buy/trade level and have been very satisfied. As a small staff operation there will be times when things get backed up, however getting gunsmithing done locally almost always has timeline difficulties.

I've nothing but good to say about Gunnar, I've gotten some very good deals.

Sometimes he is a little slow to answer emails, but who cares everything is fine, he is just busy, and look at his site right now he was just really busy last week taking care of an estate sale with something like 150+ guns, thats a lot of friggen paperwork.

Be patient, Good things come to those who wait

Yup thats gunnar but because he's a CGN supporter that makes it ok.

I don't think that's the issue here.

Some have had great service and can put up with the poor communication, wait etc while others have had problems and then also had to put up with poor communication and waits....I can see why there would be diverse opinions about Gunnar's business style.

I've tried to do business with Gunnar on a number of occasions...the last time the 1911 parts were in rubber maid containers still unpacked from a gunshow ...he never did unpack them I guess ... he's got some things there I would like to get but am a little leary about dealing with someone so unreliable ...he needs to open up a can of consistency.

I don't know about turning CGN into a ##### and whine center about our sponsors. Personally, I think if you have a problem with a dealer/gunsmith/ etc , contact them yourself and just straighten it out. This type of crap with "outing" a guy on a public forum is just a $hitty thing to do. The man is working at full speed, buying/selling/fixing and had an illness that you obviously didn't know about before you went spouting off about crappy service this, and crappy service that. Just relax, the zombies aren't coming this month, so just cut the guy a break, shoot the guns you do have on hand, and when it gets to you , it gets to you.

Well thats your opinion, but I would like to know where to spend my money, and know that I am going to get quality service for that money. Answering and Email, or picking up a phone/returning a call is common courtesy!

I want reviews of dealers and services, just like reviews of products themselves. If you know some product is a piece of s**t I would hope to hear all the opinions I can about that said product before buying it. Just like if I know that a certain dealer is a crook, I would want to tell everyone.

If nobody ever shared their opinions, and experiences about dealers, or products then WTF is the point of this site?

"When it gets to you it gets to you." - WTF are you talking about?

I have had a gun out for warranty service for 9 months now!!!!!!!! Is that acceptable to you?????? Should I be happy about that, and just suck it up? Im pissed as all hell and call these asshats on a weekly basis to get things moving.

You can bet your ass I will be writing one hell of a rant on here when this all gets settled, that everyone will appreciate when they go out looking for their next purchase!

Should we not expect reasonable service times, and quality from sponsors on this site?

If it was your gun you were waiting for I'm sure you would be singing a different tune!

Like I said before, it is the lack of competition in the firearms business in Canada that is causing all this crap! Dealers know this and use it to their advantage!

I look to this site for advice on products and dealers, it's been great so far!

I'm glad you guys don't order custom holsters, you'd have a coronary waiting 3 years for DelFatti to look at your order, or up to 10 weeks for a Raven. On the gun side, I doubt you'd like waiting a year or more for a Springfield Professional (and they won't be able to give you an exact date, because it depends on US Gov orders) and they still charge you $4000. He hasn't left the country, he is really doing his best, but there are more of us than there is of him, it takes time and mistakes happen. He's a gunsmith, he doesn't walk on water.

3 years? are you kidding me? that is insanity, I don't even know what I am doing next month - how could I plan to buy a holster and expect to use it 3 years later? people who order stuff and wait that long are stupid or careless, if you are passionate about these products find a way to get them asap and use em before you croak

The negatives can "slag" Gunnar all they like. I know the man personally, and he is one busy dude. The problem, as I see it, is many expect almost instant gratification in all endeavors. It just does not work that way. If he is not communicating, then there is some reason for it. But, each will see it the way they want. I will continue to use Gunnar's services. Eagleye.

x2. Most all people are good, if they arent keeping up with your expectations, generally there is something that is legitamately keeping them behind schedule.
What I meant by "It"ll get to you when it gets to you" is that the pistol will get to you when it gets done". If you aren't happy with Gunnar, then don't use him again, and that will leave him with more time for us and our less than urgent jobs. Keep slagging these guys, and they won't have a business for you to send your guns to. Then you can buy all the Gunsmithing how-to books and do it yourself.
Everything in life is not a fast food window happy meal.
