Ordered one of their holsters for my M&P. 10° cant and a double mag pouch for under $140 shipped in Gunmetal Grey.

Can't say I've ever had to holster an Armadillo (couldn't resist) - This was the outfit that was making the holsters for the Sig 1911's - seem to be well made, and get good reviews on various forums. Maybe one of the guys who bought one for his Sig 1911 will chip in?

Sig 1911 holster owner over here. I contacted booth at armordillo concealment about adding the sig 1911 to their line up back in late September 2011. I was looking for an alternative to the bladetech monstrosity I already owned for my sig. Some people said the sig fit into a lightly modified serpa easily, but that wasn't an option for me since I have an x300 mounted Friend of mine started the thread here on CGN to start lining up the preorders. Booth required at least 10 preorders before he would go out and buy a Sig and start making the holsters.
By mid October, Booth contacted me saying he would begin production. I ordered mine with no sweat guard, concealment thickness kydex, 1.5" belt loops, 0 degree cant, and in coyote brown. Think it was about $80...
3 weeks later another email from Booth saying it was ready to ship. Sent me a shipping invoice ($15), and it arrived at my door 1 week later.
Being a student sucks, so I haven't tried it out on the range yet, but I have spent a few hours at home practicing. Retention is crisp, and the gun almost seems to jump out when you start pulling up. I threw the sig in and turned it upside down and it stayed in place... However if I gave it a light shake it would pop out. My holster has probably seen a little shy of 200 draws so far, and there has been no noticeable kydex shavings on the sig. It's a great fit. Feels nice and light (about 2/3rds the weight of my bladetech). And the dark brown color is pretty cool as well IMHO.
Overall very satisfied so far with both the product and the customer service from armordillo concealment. Booth seems like a stand up guy and doesn't shy away from custom requests. I just placed my second order with them on December 11th for a G17/TLR-1 setup and a couple of mag holders and that order just shipped out last Tuesday. So not a bad turn around time when you compare it to some others out there...
I highly recommend you give this company and product a shot.

...dragging this thread back up. I bought a Sig 1911 (Scorpion Carry to be exact) a couple of months ago from Questar during their big Sig blowout. As a lot of Sig 1911 owners already know, finding a holster that will fit the unique combination of Sig slide profile and a rail isn't easy. Through all my Internet searching, I kept getting pointed back to Armordillo Concealment. After trading a few emails with Booth, I pulled the trigger and ordered a straight-drop RH holster, with the expectation that current production was 6-8 weeks.
Sure enough, almost 8 weeks to the day later, these showed up:
The specs: This is a straight-drop RH in the heavy .090 kydex, with the full sweat shield on the back. Retention is excellent - I can hold the holster upside down and shake it, and the Sig will not fall free. However when its on my belt, the draw is very smooth with no hangups whatsoever. The fit and finish on the kydex is great as well. There are no burrs or sharp edges anywhere. Pricing is very good as well, I paid for both the holster and mag pouch what others are playing for just the holster from Raven.
TL;DR - Armordillo Concealment holsters are quality pieces of kit, especially for hard-to-fit firearms like Sig 1911s.

i have the exact same Sig...i love it. I sure would like to get my hands on one of those holsters and mag pouches,am i to understand that you ordered this in from the states?
also,how is the finish holding up against holster wear?
Yup - I ordered these directly from Armordillo, which is located in Florida. Armordillo ships US Postal Service, so it arrived at my door with no extra duties or brokerage fees. The finish on my Sig is holding up well, but I've only had the holster for a week. I would say I've only put 150 rounds downrange since getting the holster. Including draw/dry practice at home, I would say I'm only at ~200 presentations. Given that the cerakote on the Sig is just paint, I don't mind wear marks showing up from the hoslter.

I own a Armordillo holster and a few from Raven Concealment and I think the Armordillo is a great holster. But in overall quality and fit and finish , I would say the Raven's are a few notches superior. But Raven also has a more protracted production cycle....so if your not willing to wait a Raven, Armordillo holsters are a fine choice.
Thanks for the info, i am trying to place my order but noticed that the only option with rail is 5", my Sig is the carry model (4.2" barrel) did you trim your holster or does it just have a little extra space at the end? Does this mean that the fully enclosed "muzzle cut" is not a viable option?

Can you please elaborate on this? I am too impatient for Raven so I have ordered from 3 different companies before (PS Systems, Pitbull Tactical, Off The Grid Concepts). I'm dying to know what is different about the Ravens.
I would greatly appreciate a quick rundown if you don't mind.

Well I have an Armordillo, Bravo Concealment and 3 or Raven's and I find that the quality of the kydex and the overall fit and finish is superior. You can tell just by looking at the 3 holsters side by side which is the Raven. Don't get me wrong the other two companies make great holsters, but if you don't mind wait times its worth it. Plus I find that Raven has a lot more models of guns and weapon light combos then the other compaines. They are one the few companies that made a holster for my Five Seven. If your just looking for a straight glock or m&p holster with no bells and whistles they can be had in only a month or so. I ordered a holster for my M&P 40 from Raven and had it by the end of the month.
Although the 4.25" option was not listed on their website, Armordillo does make the holsters to fit. Basically they will mould the kydex around their 5" Sig w/rail model, and then cut the holster back to 4.25". There is no "extra space" at the end of the holster - this holster will NOT fit a 5". But as you mentioned, because of this, the fully enclosed bottom is not an option.
As for the comparison to Raven, I really cannot comment as I don't own a Raven. However comparing prices for the same features on each (M&P 9, straight drop, coyote kydex), the Raven works out to $101 while the Armordillo is $80.
