What options are available for training to become an armourer/gunsmith, here in Canada? I am looking at joining the Army and becoming a Weapon Technician-Land, but was wondering what other options are available.

Any information that can be provided would be much appreciated. I was not sure where to post this question, if this is in the wrong thread, please move to where appropriate.

Thanks in advance

CF weapons techs aren't gunsmiths. They're mechanics who work on a very limited number of firearm types. It's not necessarily a bad place to start, but you will not be a trained smithy when you get out.
There is or used to be a course some place in Quebec. French speaking only, as I recall. There may be one in Alberta too. Other than that, there's nothing. No money in it nor jobs anyway.

Thanks for all the information. I was a little confused as the armed forces in their description of Weapon Tech-Land states that one of the careers you would be trained for is Gunsmith.

I guess their description is a tab optimistic. Using the description of armourer in Tootall's article. Do the RCMP have armourer's or gunsmiths, or both?
