ARMS #18 Mount

Can we assume that you have done a 'search' for them on the EE Forum here? Always great prices here on the EE Forum.

Good luck on your search. Skullboy swears by the Smith mount. Me ? I'm an ARMS # 18 kinda guy.

Cheers,
Barney

Woverine has them backordered. I have a deposit on one and they told me 6 to 8 weeks when I ordered it. That was 8 weeks ago so hopefully they show up soon. Of course three or four have come and gone on the EE since then. :(

Have a suggestion for you.

Don't know what you want it for but if it's for any mission critical application I would advise against it. It's low profile at certain angles causes ejected brass to bounce back into the chamber area causing jams. (New style - the old style with top opening is okay). You won't have that problem with the Springfield mount which is easier to get but it does have a higher profile. There are other choices but I don't know what's available to you in Canada. There is another new one coming out based on a CRANE RFP that some manufactures are competing for. I'm waiting on a prototpe now to see what it's about.

I have hundreds of rounds through my M14/305, with an new style ARMS 18 full mount. No problems so far. No jams, caused by the mount, to date.
