Hey all,
I'm wondering if anyone knows the best place to get the arms 18 mount is? I've scouted around the supporting vendors sites and haven't found one so thought I would post. Many thanks!

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I read the stickied thread on scope mounts and the concensus seems to be that the arms18 is the way to go. However, a few people seem to be really liking the sadlak mount. I just want a mount that doesnt interfere with cartridge ejection, is low enough I can still use the irons and holds the scope tight. Too much to ask?

Some rifles equiped with the Arms 18 have been known to have ejection issues with the brass getting caught between oprod and mount.
This is easily remedied on the norcs and polys by disassembling the bolt and trimming 2 coils off the extractor spring.
This changes ejection angle and on most rifles I've worked on with this problem were glitch free after the spring trimming.
The Arms 18 is my number one choice for scoping the m14/m1a

You can use the irons but the the scope will have to be removed. If you want to use both, go with the Sadlak mounts. Either way you'll need a cheek riser to mitigate the 'chin weld'.

ARMS also makes 1" and 30mm throw lever rings designed for use with the arms18. Allows for removal of scope for use of irons and with quality optics, a return to zero when scope is put back on.
Avoid knock offs or other brands, get the arms throw levers.
