ARMS 18 mounts

I need to pick up a mount for the M14, just wondering if the ARMS 18 is still the go to mount?
I see there are a lot more options now.
I am looking at tracking down the old split rail ARMS 18 design, any idea why they changed the design to the less desirable full rail style?

Any of you guys running the old split version, do you find that the brass contacts the bottom of the scope?

So I was able to get my hands on a ARMS split mount and a set of Arms 22 low rings, I am not sure if I paid too much?
The set cost me $350
I think it looks pretty sweet

I did the exact same thing. On & OFF, the mount returns to zero every time!

Both Bradley & Bassett ship to CANADA.

Everyone has a preference. I've probably used all the mounts. My personal M14's wear Sadlak Airborn. Since ARMS stopped making the split bridge version, I've not been a fan.
