Wow, haha, I guess my assessment that people prefer the regular hand guard is correct.

I found this pic, not sure how accurate it is, but it appears that the stock is different, along with the flash hider.....don't know if there are any other notable differences.

you can get the basic with the same folding stock as the advanced "basic folder"
 
Wow, just seen that they may still have stock and sent a email! Hope they can take a EMT deposit to hold one :)

We thought about weight too.

Both of Govt Profile ACR barrels are the lightest non-restricted barrels we are aware of on the market. Versus stock 16" BM ACR barrel they are heavier by the 2.75" extra length only. Dimensions from chamber to gas block are as OE Govt Profile. Ahead of the gas block we did away with the vestigal M203 ring

Our Govt Profile 18.75" CMV barrel is the only 4150 CMV 1/7 Chrome-Lined ACR barrel anywhere.

Of the two we have sold, the basic and the enhanced, both have the same folding buttstock as shown in the photo. We haven't see the basic non-folder. The differences between the two are the flash hider and the handguard.
 
Our barrel is true Government Profile under the handguards, exact same dimensions under the handguard as the standard ACR barrel. It is the same weight as the stock ACR barrel + the 2.75" of barrel to bring it to 18.75". It is neither medium nor heavy profile. It is lighter in weight and profile than any other ACR barrel we have seen for sale in Canada or anywhere else.

Our barrels represent premium quality barrels, custom made for us by the same OEM manufacturer that provides certified milspec 4150 CMV barrels to the absolute top names in the AR15 world. They are the only purpose built chrome lined, non-restricted length ACR barrels available anywhere.

Finally, we have new NR ACR rifles on route to us presently. The rifles shipped about a week before Christmas and we expect them over the next 7-10 days. This shipment is the last shipment or ACRs secured at BM's special pricing of approx $600USD below standard MSRP.
