Armscor 10/22 Clone! - Ruger not happy!

Just goes to show you should always protect your trademark... however it also goes to show that someone can always produce your product cheaper.

*before anyone starts an economic debate with me, I don't actually care....

I realize that Ruger funded the design and tooling to build it... but... they also overcharge since they can... capitalism and all...

Awesome Amarican company. Let it side for a year or more, knowing all the time domestic companies are copying your product. Then when you see forign companies under cut you, sue them. Then decide if you go after your own countryman.

Its impossible to stop it now. They might slow it down for 4 a while. Cheap knock offs seem to be growing more and more in all markets.

I'd buy a norinco 10/22

Ha, ha.

Won't be long, I bet. They already copy a whole bunch of classic .22 designs.

What are these going for here?? Seems they're about $120 cheaper than a Ruger down there according to the article.
Similar Ruger street price is under $200, about $30 diff there. Here about $50 ($199 vs $249) although I see some dealers with the Armscor for $289 which is $20-$30 more then the ruger here.
Owning both, I would still give the nod to ruger at the higher price. Aftermarket barrels won't fit the armscor, the receiver, bolt, charging handle are pretty rough castings compared to rugers 10/22, the scope mount blows on the armscor, but the ruger uses polymer for some major components. They both suck in different ways I guess....lol

the only reason armscor did it, is the US market wanted it, people are pissed off at being over charged for them
The 10/22 should retail for $150-175 , as the price is $250+ , when customers get sick of over pricing they look for other options

also the RIA/Armscor 10/22 has a METAL trigger group. they have not started skimping on parts, most if not all Ruger 10/22 parts are interchangeable.

But but but... you saw the fall test.

ROFL

they are taking us for retards.

''you see folks if i drop this trigger guard made of marshmallow it bounces and does not break. On the other hand, this expensive aluminum trigger group breaks.''
